Barrette Needle File

Barrette needle files feature a triangular profile with only one cutting surface, allowing jewelers to work precisely without damaging adjacent surfaces. Commonly used for stone setting, engraving preparation, fine detailing, and finishing delicate components.

Swiss made Glardon Vallorbe® Barrette needle files have round handles. Needle file lengths are measured from tip to tip including the handles. Files are measured from the point where the teeth begin to the end of the file. Glardon Vallorbe® Swiss Made Needle Files are graded with a number from 00 for coarsest to 6 for finest. Remember, the higher the number the finer the cut.

Barrette files are tapered in width and thickness, coming to a rounded point at the end. Only the flat side of a barrette file is cut, leaving a safe edge and top.
